12" DIME TIP CARVING BAR. Mount a mini nose dime tip bar to your chainsaw and instantly turn it into a detail carving machine! To chainsaw carve the smallest detail possible nothing beats a dime sized bar! Note: “Dime” bars have a nose or tip the size of a dime coin (about .75").
These bars feature a universal fit, and will mount on nearly all small chainsaws. However, most chainsaws are factory supplied with a 3/8" (.375) drive sprocket. Dime bars require the use of ¼” (.25”) pitch chain (our item 270165) plus a matching ¼” (.25”) pitch sprocket. To mount this dime tip bar to your saw typically the factory supplied drive sprocket will need to be replaced with a ¼” (.25”) pitch drive sprocket (E.g. our item 270020). Note: The following STIHL chainsaws are sold with factory supplied 1/4” pitch drive sprockets: MSA 60 C-B, MSA 70 C-B, MS 151 C-E, MSA 160 C, MSA 200 C (no conversion sprocket is needed for these chainsaws). For the proper length ¼” (.25”) pitch chain order our 270165 (.050”).
